P-51D Combat Aircraft Fundamentals

This manual provides the necessary procedures to efficiently and effectively learn the necessary skills to be successful in effectively using the DCS P-51D Mustang airframe.  The DCS P-51D Flight Manual and the DCS P-51D Chucks Guide both provide detailed information on aircraft systems and systems operation. The Flight Manual and this publication complement each other. 

Historical context

As aerial warfare has developed and changed over the years so has Air Combat tactics and philosophy.  In this manual there will be parts where you will see both historical and modern tactics.  Where I can, I will delineate and identify which is which, and why the difference, and allow you as the pilot to choose which is appropriate for the given situation.  

Creating these manuals and guides are a labor of love and passion, but it doesn’t happen in a vacuum.  It takes a lot of time, patience and research and support from many people around me.  If you enjoy these manuals and they help you, they’ve accomplished exactly what they are designed to do.
